Taking center stage as the market’s lowest-cost FPGAs, the ProASIC3 and ProASIC3E families provide 64-bit, 66-MHz PCI performance, integrate secure in-system programmability and lay claim as the first FPGAs with on-chip user flash memory. In addition, they require no external boot PROM or microcontroller to support device programming, and a live-at-power-up feature eliminates the need for an external CPLD. The ProASIC3 family features 30,000 to one million system gates, 18 Kb to 108 Kb of dual-port SRAM, 81 to 288 user I/Os, and bank-selectable I/O voltages at up to four banks per chip. The ProASIC3E family features 600,000 to three million gates, 108 Kb to 504 Kb of dual-port SRAM, up to 604 user I/Os, and bank- selectable I/O voltages at eight banks per chip. Samples of the ProASIC3E 600 device are available now with production quantities scheduled for Q4. Pricing for ProASIC3 starts at $1.50 each/250,000. ACTEL CORP., Mountain View, CA. (888) 992-2835.
