In an attempt to bring an improved tool flow solution to FPGA designers, Translogic USA Corp., Hollister, CA, a developer of HDL graphical entry tools, has entered into a joint marketing agreement with Synplicity Inc., Sunnyvale, CA, a supplier of logic synthesis software for programmable logic design. The agreement will allow the companies to provide joint customers with a high-quality link from HDL graphical entry through synthesis. The goal of the pact is to increase the quality of customers' designs, as well as reduce costs and time-to-market. The agreement outlines a technical and marketing relationship between the firms, including strategic marketing activities.Under terms of the agreement, the companies will work to ensure the tight integration between Translogic's EASE graphical entry tool and Synplicity's Synplify synthesis tool. Measures will be taken to continue the tight integration for future releases of both products. In addition, the firms have agreed to cooperate in the areas of field sales and technical support.
