Handling 40-pin QFN packages with a 0.4-mm pitch, the DG-QFN40C-01 socket operates at bandwidths up to 40 GHz with less than 1 dB of insertion loss and minimal increase in PCB space. The component dissipates up to several watts without heat sinking and handles up to 100W with a custom heat sink. Contact resistance is typically 3 mΩ per pin.
