Unveiled as the latest addition to the Impact backplane connector family, Impact 85 Ohm looks to meet the growing demands of next generation server, storage, and data networking equipment. The 85 Ohm connector system supports Intel’s Quick Path Interconnect standard, PCI Express Generation 2.0 and 3.0, and any proprietary system design requiring 85-Ohm differential impedance. To allow interchanging of 100-Ohm and 85-Ohm modules, the Impact 85 Ohm connector and Impact 100 Ohm connector system are the same physical size, same density, same pitch, same PCB layout, and use the same guidance and power solutions.
