A new adapter has been designed for the 14-mm relay with 6A DPDT contacts, inrush currents to 80A for 20 ms, and 10A SPDT load currents. The Varioface PLC-V8L adapter makes connecting relay interfaces to PLC and DCS output cards easy using controller system cabling. Installation time reportedly can be reduced by more than 60%. The adapter connects eight relays through the coils without the use of additional tools. A ribbon cable plug connector makes a quick connection to the controller. Pluggable relays are easy to replace without disconnecting any wiring. A bridge plug system is used for bridging voltage potentials. And the insulated bridge can be used to common 32 SPDT or 16 DPDT relays. PHOENIX CONTACT INC., Harrisburg, PA. (800) 322-3225.
