Assembly Tools Ensure Safety In ESD-Sensitive Apps

Designed for use with work pieces that are sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD), these new assembly tools have housings that are electrically conductive (10³ ohms). Any static charge present on the tool or operators hand is conducted away from the work. The tool family includes torque-controlled electric screwdrivers, screw presenters, and tape presenters. For other sensitive assembly applications, clean room torque-controlled electric screwdrivers, screw dispensers, shock-absorbing screwdrivers, and slow start screwdriver controls to prevent cross threading of screws are available.
