A new inorganic, electrically-insulating ceramic cement has been developed as a potting compound for electronic applications. The material is being used: to pot and coat resistors, thermocouples and transformers; to seal ends of capacitors; and to cement insulators and ignitors to metals, glass and other ceramics. The compound is resistant to thermal shock and will not shrink. Grade V-735 is supplied as a single-component dry off-white powder. The compound sets by chemical reaction and, when dry, the it can be brought to any temperature up to 1000°F as rapidly as desired.
