A new UL94 VO-rated line of conductive foam gaskets suits low cycling, non-shear applications, such as input/output shielding. The X, Y and Z axis conductivity of the gaskets helps provide the enhanced EMI shielding effectiveness required by the speeds of today’s computer and telecomm equipment. The conductive foam features improved Z-axis conductivity for shielding effectiveness to more than 90 dB across a wide range of frequencies. Compression ranges reach up to 60% of original uncompressed height. Users can choose standard foam thicknesses of 0.039'', 0.060'', 0.079'' and 0.125'' and widths down to 0.125''. The foam is available in standard backplane and connector configurations, including ATX, NLX, D subs, USB port, IEEE 1394, SCSI and RJ-45, as well as rectangular strips for static perimeter gasketing applications. I/O die-cut designs and rectangular strip gaskets can be supplied with EZ Peel pressure-sensitive adhesive. LAIRD TECHNOLOGIES, Delaware Water Gap, PA. (570) 424-8510.
