A line of locking DC connectors needs only a simple twist to prevent accidental disengagement of the plugs from mating jacks. Two raised strips of metal, positioned 180° apart on the outside of the plug barrel are designed to align with two mating slots running through the outside of the jack enclosure. When the plug is fully inserted into the mating jack, the metal strips align with and insert into the mating slots. A simple 90° twisting of the plug establishes and maintains a secure lock between both the jack and plug, and prevents disengagement. Plug model MP-121CR is an assembly-type plug, and model MP-121CR1 is for molding onto cable assemblies. Jack model MJ-179LR mates with both plug models. Pricing for MJ-179LR jacks is $0.32 each/10,000. SHOGYO INTERNATIONAL CORP., Plainview, NY. (516) 349-5200.
