Challenging belts and cables, the RGS guide screw specifies linear speeds in excess of 1.5 m/s, while promising accurate positioning and long life. It is available with a wide range of leads and speeds for medical, data storage, semiconductor, optical, and photonic applications. It can also be employed for actuation and positioning in transportation equipment, pick and place mechanisms, and most automated equipment. The slide is driven by a precision-rolled stainless steel lead screw and includes an aluminum guide and carriage. The standard carriage is a wear-compensating, anti-backlash driven type. The RGS comes in lengths up to 2.4 m with longer units available. KERK MOTION PRODUCTS INC., Hollis, NH. (603) 465-7227
