Making connections safer for users, a quick-release RF coaxial connector has been developed with recessed female contacts and a dielectric at the tip of the male contacts. The design of the QRM connector isolates contacts in high-power applications, preventing people from touching the contact and getting bit by the current. Suitable for industrial, laser, medical and semiconductor applications up to 6,000W at 100 MHz average and a dc to 4 GHz frequency range, the QRM RF coaxial connector is rated for a 50? impedance and 2,600V. Made from nickel-plated brass bodies, silicone rubber gaskets, PTFE insulators, gold-plated brass center contacts, and beryllium-copper outer contacts, the QRM connector can be used as a cable plug, jack and receptacle. Pricing is $45 each. TRU CORP., Peabody, MA. (800) 262-9878.
