Providing what is said to be enormous flexibility for industrial and rolling stock applications, the HVS highly variable connector system offers over 25 different connector modules to allow quick mounting or dismounting of six single or three double modules into a solid metal frame without tooling. In most applications, the module system promises to reduce the number of interfaces required and provide near unlimited use. A range of connector modules is available for standard applications and high-voltage systems up to 3 kV nominal, high nominal current up to 250A, and pneumatic and high density applications with up to 25 poles per module. The modules can accept cables with diameters up to 120 mm2 with machined or stamped crimp contacts as well as spring type terminals. Connectors with RJ45, USB, and fire wire contacts are also available. TYCO ELECTRONICS, Harrisburg, PA. (800) 522-6752.
