Available in a full range of configurations for CompactPCI applications, the hm 2-mm is a gas tight, high-density pin-and-socket metric connector that meets the IEC-1076 international standard. The connector provides 47 rows with five pins per row for a total of 220 pins; 15 pins are lost to the keying area. An additional external metal shield is also provided, and a large number of ground pins ensures adequate shielding and grounding for low ground bounce and reliable operation in noisy environments. The male connector, with five signal rows and two shielding rows, is a fixed module at the backplane. A version with eight signal and two shielding rows is also available. The female connector is a free component of the plug-in module. Additionally, the connector system offers 15 press-fit contact lengths. IN2CONNECT, Hants, UK. +44 (0)1962 733337.
