A new series of miniature circular connectors aims to meet the critical needs of the medical, aerospace, sensor and geophysical industries. The MICRO-C Series claims advantages not offered by other connectors of the same size or larger. These features include: reverse gender capability, rugged metal shell construction, ground integrity in a mated condition, and 4-, 7- and 13-pin insert arrangements. The connectors are blind mateable, auto-clavable, scoop proof, and field serviceable. They have gold-plated #24 gauge crimp, solder or PC tail contacts and accept #22-28 AWG wire. Two shell sizes are available: 0.420" dia. max (4 and 7 pins) and 0.625" dia. max (13 pins). A choice of threaded or J-lock bayonet coupling mechanisms is available as well. Other specifications include: voltage rating at sea level of 400 Vac, an operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C, and current ratings from 1.5A to 3A max. The MICRO-C Series also meets IP67 environmental standards when mated and can be custom designed to meet other specifications. ARRAY CONNECTOR CORP., Miami, FL. (305) 234-1000.
