Carrying USP Class VI approval for use in medical device manufacturing, the UV-curable, optically-clear UV10MED adhesive provides reliable adhesion to metals, glass, ceramics, and most plastics. It also resists chemicals and many types of sterilizing agents and specifies an operating temperature range from -60°F to 250°F. The adhesive is 100% reactive and does not contain any solvents or other volatiles. Typical cure times range from 5s to 10s to two to three minutes at ambient temperatures. The company recommends a 200W/in. medium-pressure mercury vapor lamp or equivalent UV light source. Other features include a tensile strength greater than 4,000 psi, Shore D hardness in excess of 60, and an elongation of less than 5%. UV10MED is available in half-pint, pint, quart, gallon, and five-gallon containers, and in syringe applicators. MASTER BOND INC., Hackensack, NJ. (201) 343-8983.
