The TelEnable fax/data card (FDC) interconnect system provides communications interoperability between legacy, present, and future technologies. It transmits serial data or a digital fax from an analog device via a wireless network. It also eliminates protocol development trials to focus the device design on the core product, simplifying interconnections for less cost and lower CPU overhead. Using a touchtone phone and a serial interface, it works with any data-enabled wireless phone, including CDMA, PCS, TDMA, GSM/GPRS, and IDEN. Pricing in low volumes is $350, and lead time is two weeks (evaluation units) to six weeks (production lots).
