To expand support for a wider range of wire gauges, the Quick Connect (QC) 1.5 plugs employ an insulation displacement connection (IDC) plug. The QC 1.5 components represent the next generation in I/O and low-power terminations to the PCB, offering wire selections from 24 to 16 AWG. The plugs have a 5-mm pitch and come with or without mounting flanges. They mate with the company’s 5-mm headers for vertical, horizontal, or lengthwise PCB mounting. Also, the plugs make an audible click to ensure proper mating. PHOENIX CONTACT INC., Harrisburg, PA. (800) 322-3225.
