The Antex Model 690SD soldering station features a 24V, 50W static-dissipative iron with positive tip temperature feedback and ±2% accuracy. The iron can be set to operate from 65°C to 450°C and the station's digital readout can be set for °C or °F. It is claimed that the system stays cool because the heating element is located under the tip, which slides on and will not bind or freeze. Conforming to MIL-STD-2000A requirements, the station has two pushbutton memory settings and includes a bench stand with a dross collection sponge and extra tip holder. A variety of different style tips is also available. Pricing is $207.18.
