Offered as a larger version of the SolderMate benchtop five-axis automated soldering system, the SolderMate LA provides an 18" x 18" x 3" X-Y-Z work envelope. In addition to X-Y-Z motion, the system features 360° motion (±180°) and is controlled by a motion-control computer via Windows NT. Soldering-temperature is controlled to within ±5°F and dwell times are programmable in milliseconds. The system has an X-Y-Z repeatability of ±0.001" and features fault recording, programmable solder feed, and automatic tip cleaning.
