Along with vertical versions, the iCool series low-profile voltage regulator module (VRM) connectors now include right angle configurations, allowing users to deploy VRMs in parallel applications. They are designed for 1U servers using standard components, as well as small form factor PCs and workstations. Both configurations employ an open-housing design that relies on directional airflow to cool the contacts. Optional versions are also available for 2U servers and larger platforms with ambient temperatures up to 60°C. Other features include 20 signal contacts for VR control and 72 power contacts that handle 12V inputs and outputs up to 130A, four fork locks, a reverse-angle module latch notch feature, and gold-plated contacts. Pricing for the right angle connectors starts at $6 each. MOLEX INC., Lisle, IL. (630) 969-4550.
