To further enhance sensing capabilities, the QS18LAF250 adjustable-field sensor with a Class 2 laser debuts as the latest member of the WORLD-BEAM sensor family. The component provides a cutoff range of 50 mm to 250 mm, adjustable via a five-turn screw on the top, and offers reduced excess gain within 20 mm of the sensor, making it less susceptible to the effects of lens contamination in challenging environments. For small-object detection and position control, the sensor exhibits a narrow effective beam of approximately 1-mm spot size.
