Well-suited for switching inductive loads, the 45306T series of compact solid-state relays has a current rating of 5A as well as integrated diode protection. Replacing the large "ice cube" style relays and bases that consume real estate in a panel, these solid-state relay terminals are just 5.08 mm wide and have a switch life of five million operations. Reliable switching capacity comes from the use of a semiconductor switch with avalanche characteristics.
The terminals are corrosion resistant with nickel-plated clamping units and stainless-steel screws. They snap to a 35 mm DIN rail and are designed to stack together. Each relay terminal is provided with a green LED to indicate activated input. Relay blocks are 1PDT and are offered in a variety of input coil voltages: 5, 12 and 24 Vdc and 24 and 115 Vac/dc. The terminals have UL/CE approvals. Prices range from $9.75 to $16.75 each.
