Packing a luminous density of up to 220 mcd at a forward current of 20 mA, the Tri-Color 1312CE series LED dies squeeze into 1.6- by 3.0- by 0.7-mm surface-mount (SMT) packages. Each die contains three individual LEDs of red, green, and blue (FRGB) or amber, green, and blue (FAGB). Both packages come with diffused lenses with a viewing angle up to 150° and operate from −40°C to 85°C. Other features include 81 to 98 mW of power dissipation, 25 to 30 mA of forward current, 100 mA of peak forward current, and 4 V of reverse voltage. The 1312CE FRGB and FAGB series cost $1.26 and $1.30 each, respectively, in 100-unit lots. Lead time is 12 weeks.
