Count-Up Controllers Turn Equipment On And Off At Precise Intervals

May 21, 2007
Two easy-to-program count-up controllers from Control Co.—the Model 1 Walkaway Turn-Off Controller and the Model 2 Walkaway Repeat Turn-on/Turn-off Controller—handle equipment up to 120 V ac at 15 A (1800 W) with 0.01% timing accuracy.

A pair of count-up controllers from Control Co. provide precise automatic on/off control of equipment to ensure repeatability of an operation without operator attention. The Model 1 Walkaway Turn-Off Controller counts up and turns any piece of equipment off at the end of a set time period. Users can program it in three setting intervals: 0.01 to 99.99 seconds, 1 to 9999 minutes, or 1 to 9999 hours. The Model 2 Walkaway Repeat Turn-on/Turn-off Controller counts up and turns on any piece of equipment for a programmed time and off for a different programmed time. The repeat feature continues the on-off cycling until it is manually stopped. The separate on/off timing periods can be programmed in three interval settings: 1 to 99 seconds, 1 to 99 minutes, and 1 to 99 hours.

A manual pause switch overrides the program without disturbing it, allowing equipment to be turned off instantly. The units’ intuitive operation allows users to set a program in less than five seconds. Timing accuracy is 0.01%. A 0.5-in.-high backlit LCD panel shows the controller’s status. A three-prong grounded receptacle accepts 120-V ac, 15-A (1800-W), 1/3-hp equipment. A red LED shows the on/off status of the equipment being controlled. The high-impact ABS plastic case measures 6 by 2.75 by 3.25 in. The controllers come with serial-numbered Traceable Certificates provided by the company’s ISO 17025 calibration laboratory. The certificate indicates traceability to standards provided by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. To learn more, go to www.control3.com.
