The iW3614 two-stage, PFC primary-side-regulated, leading- and trailing-edge-dimmable, ac/dc digital PWM controller targets 120-/230-Vac offline commercial and industrial LED lighting apps. Operating with isolated or non-isolated LED drivers, the device fits applications with PFs greater than 0.9. Other features include a two-stage PFC scheme, a 1% to 100% dimming range, flicker-free operation with existing wall dimmers worldwide, and ±5% LED current regulation. Safety features include LED open/short circuit protection, input over-voltage protection, and over-temperature thermal shutdown.
