LED Drivers Enable Efficient Designs

Oct. 4, 2011
The ILD series switch-mode LED drivers employ an integrated power stage and team with external MOSFETs to achieve up to 98% driver efficiency across a wide range of general lighting applications.

The ILD series switch-mode LED drivers employ an integrated power stage and team with external MOSFETs to achieve up to 98% driver efficiency across a wide range of general lighting applications. The devices achieve high cost effectiveness because they have been designed for specific LED currents or applications.  As an example, the ILD2035 targets MR16 lamps with 1W LEDs. Three devices, the ILD4001, ILD4035 and ILD2035, will be available in SC-74 packages and the fourth device, the ILD4120, comes in a DSO-8 package with exposed pad. As a pricing example, price for the ILD4035 (350-mA output, SC-74 package) is $0.60 each/10,000. INFINEON TECHNOLOGIES, Milpitas, CA. (866) 951-9519.
