A monolithic structure for a closed magnetic path and high reliability is featured in the MCB multilayer ferrite chip beads and MCP power beads. Each bead style is available in standard EIA chip sizes of 0603, 0805, 1206 and 1806. They also incorporate a nickel barrier and solder overcoat for excellent solderability and solder leach resistance. The beads have an operating temperature range of -55°C to 125°C and insulation resistance of 1 Gigaohm minimum. The MCP series is available in tolerances of ±20% and ±25%. And MCB types also come in ±5% and ±10% tolerances. Both have applications in sound/video cards, computer peripherals, notebook PCs, modems, cellular phones, and more.
