Debuting as the next generation of the Temposonics family of magnetostrictive position sensors, the R-Series position sensor delivers enhanced output capabilities plus improved sensing performance and accuracy. The component includes diagnostic LEDs, external programming capabilities, and a reduced electronics envelope. Features include resolutions as low as 1 µm, an output linearity of less than or equal to ±0.01%, and a repeatability of less than or equal to ±0.001% full scale. The sensor also provides over-voltage protection to 36 Vdc and the ability to withstand shock to 100g and vibration levels up to 25g from 10 Hz to 2 kHz. Pricing starts at $622 each.
