Capable of non-contact interruptive object sensing, the OPB200 infrared slotted switch exploits injection-molded polyester packaging that minimizes the assembly's sensitivity to ambient visible light and near-infrared radiation. Its output IRLED phototransistor switches from an on state to off when an opaque object passes between the emitter and the sensor. The infrared LED accommodates a forward current up to 50 mA, 1A peak. Other features include a maximum reverse voltage of 5V, maximum power dissipation of 75 mW, and an operating temperature range from -25°C to +85°C. Price is $0.90 each/1,000.
