Optocouplers Break The Size Barrier

Oct. 1, 2001

Claiming to be the industries smallest optocouplers, the PS2911 and PS2915 come in a flat-lead package that measures 2.5 mm x 49.mm and 2.1 mm in height. The components meet the BSI EN60950, 0.4 mm insulation thickness specification for supplemental isolation. Features include a current transfer ratio of 200% typical at IF = 1 mA, an isolation voltage of 2.5 kVRMS, and a GaAs LED and an NPN phototransistor.
