Complying with IEEE 802.3af requirements, the 1U DS657 ac/dc power source for Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) applications delivers up to 657W of power at 48/51 Vdc for end- and mid-span implementations plus an isolated 12V distributed power source. The supply accepts a universal input from 85 to 264 Vac at 47 to 63 Hz. In addition to its nominal outputs, the unit includes a 0.5A/12 Vdc standby output. Keeping conditions cool, a ball-bearing fan ensures reliable operation from 0°C to 50°C. Standard supply features include active current sharing, fan-speed control, over-current, over-voltage, and over-temperature protection, a standard IEC320 inlet, and three LEDs that indicate power in, power out, and temperature status. Pricing starts at $240 each. ASTEC POWER, Carlsbad, CA. (760) 930-4600.
