Powered Isolator Has Input Signal Fault Detection Feature

Jan. 1, 2001

Available as a DIN rail- or panel-mount isolator, the DSCL25 powered isolator provides fault monitoring of the input signal, indicated by an LED on the front panel. The isolator is designed to provide simple, low-cost, 2,300Vrms transformer isolation and 3,700Vrms power supply-to-I/O isolation. Two versions are available that accept universal power of either 24 to 60 Vac/Vdc or 85 to 230 Vac/Vdc, with the ac versions accepting frequencies from 45 to 400 Hz. Input and output signal range is from 4 to 20 mA and accuracy over the entire operating range is ±2%. Bandwidth is 5 Hz and operating temperature range is -25°C to 55°C. Pricing starts at $229 each.
