Electronic Device Sales (EDS) has signed a marketing agreement with Rohm Corp.’s Electronics Div. (Antioch, TN) covering the entire New England area. Under the agreement, the Sharon (MA)-based EDS will market Rohm’s large, diverse families of products. These include analog and logic ICs, ASICs, gate arrays, discrete semiconductors, as well as LEDs, LCDs, laser diodes, and passive components. One of the strengths EDS is said to bring to the arrangement is its considerable experience with ASIC sales and design, with the expertise serving to complement Rohm’s strength in manufacturing LSI and custom ICs—two-thirds of Rohm’s global revenue derives from silicon-based products.
