Two SMT dual Gigabit transformers have been developed for use in high-speed data applications in servers, bridges, switches, workstations, and disk drives. They're designed for point-to-point coupling with 150 ohm twinax cable and protect the station from static charges that may develop on the cable. They also prevent ground loop currents from being transferred between stations. The A6801 and A6802 transformers have turns ratios (±6%) of 1CT:1CT and 1:1, respectively, and are compliant with Fibre Channel and IEEE 802.3z short-haul Gigabit standards. Their low frequency cutoff is 2.5 MHz, providing improved jitter performance. With fast signal rise times, the transformers' bandwidth minimizes data-dependent jitter.
