pecially designed for PC and LCD flat panel backlighting applications, a new series of surface-mount cold cathode fluorescent light (CCFL) inverter transformers come in four sizes. The 3W SIH0901 is 8.5 mm x 30.5 mm x 5.0 mm; the 3.5W SIH1005 is 9.7 mm x 30.0 mm x 5.0 mm; the 3.5W SIH1202 is 12 mm x 25.5 mm x 5.0 mm; and the 6W SIH15101 is 5.2 mm x 23.5 mm x 8.5 mm. The devices incorporate a special segmented flanged bobbin to avoid high voltage flash over. The transformers can withstand a voltage of 1,600 VRMS at 3W to 6W max. and span operational frequencies of 40 to 200 KHz with an efficiency of 80%. Prices range from $1.25 to $1.75 each/10,000.
