The 592 Prism series bi-level, surface-mount LED indicators have an illumination area compatible with standard 3-mm, through-hole, bi-level devices. As a result, the indicators provide increased indication without taking up more space. Also, the existing faceplate mat doesn't have to be modified. The indicators incorporate two LEDs in combinations of red, green, blue, and white and a prismatic light pipe in a black housing for enhanced contrast ratio. All are designed to withstand surface-mount soldering. With an 80° viewing angle, the parts have a typical luminous intensity of 6 mcd at 10 mA. Designed with an operating and storage temperature range of −55°C to 100°C, they can withstand both convection infrared and vapor-phase processes. The housing material meets the UL 94V-0 flammability rating. The indicators are packaged in 32-mm, 7-in. reels per EIA-481-2 and are also available on tapes of 10 pieces each. Pricing is $1.33 per unit in 1000-piece quantities. Delivery of production quantities is in four to six weeks.
