A new high-density enclosed switching power supply has been designed to meet the space and performance needs in low to moderate-power telecommunication, industrial control and embedded systems applications. The NextGen power supply provides output power over the range of 25W to 150W. All models accept universal input from 85 to 265 Vac and include screw terminal input/output connections. Ninety models have single/dual/triple/quad outputs from 3.3 to 48 Vdc. Dual outputs provide either a shared common ground configuration or separate common returns for each output. Utilizing high-density SMT construction and 105°C long life electrolytic capacitors, the NextGen supply is designed in 1U height compliant sizes and provides power densities of up to 4W per cubic inch. All NextGen models come with an integral power-good LED indicator and an output adjustment potentiometer. Over voltage, short circuit protection, and integral input line filtering are standard, and the product meets EMS EN50082-2/EN61000-6-2 safety requirements. Measurements for the 25W version are 3.1"L x 2"W x 1.1"H. Pricing ranges from $22 to $44 each/100. ASTRODYNE, Taunton, MA. (800) 823-8082.
