The LT3799 isolated LED controller with active PFC operates from a universal input range of 90 to 265 Vac. The device suits LED apps requiring 4W to 100+W and compatibility with standard TRIAC in-wall dimmers. A unique current sensing scheme delivers a regulated current to the secondary side without using an opto-coupler. Other features include over 86% efficiency, active PFC up to 0.977, and open and shorted LED protection. Available in a 16-pin MSOP, pricing starts at $2.25 each/1,000.
