Available in voltage ranges of 1.8V to 2.7V and 2.7V to 3.6V, this series of 16-Mbit NOR flash memory devices is suited for PC BIOS, printers and industrial embedded control systems. They're also useful in low-voltage, battery-powered systems such as handheld computers, digital cameras, and cellular phones. The chips draw low standby current of 5 µA maximum and require a single supply voltage. Automatic algorithms are built in for programming, block erasure and chip erasure. Additional functions include erase suspend as well as erase resume and block protection to prevent accidental programming or erasing of the protected block. Automatic algorithm status can be determined by using the data polling bit and toggle bit. All devices are AMD/Fujitsu JEDEC-compatible, and multiple second sources are available.Samples are available now with full production starting during Q4.
