SanDisk 2.5" and 3.5" FlashDrives fit into standard drive bays and can replace disk drives in non-PC applications, such as networking, industrial computer, telecomm, gaming, and point-of-sale systems. The new drives come in capacities ranging from 10 to 500 Mbytes. They use IDE interfaces and connect to systems by means of the same ribbon cable used with standard disks. There are no moving parts, and power consumption is about 1/10th that of standard disks.
