Featuring what may be the industry's lowest size, latency, and power consumption, the IN581AMB fully buffered (FB) DIMM is also said to be the first such device with an interface between the serial interface and DDR2 SDRAM that meets JEDEC AMB specs. The module measures 5 mm x 5 mm and consumes 15% to 20% less power than comparable devices draining 6W or greater. It is available with memory capacities up to 192 GB and a bandwidth up to 40 GB/s when paired with 1-Gb x 4-bit DDR2-800 DRAM. Other features include a per-lane pattern generator and BERT testing.
