In telecommunications, industrial automation and mobile environments where hard disks and tape drives are prone to failure, these 2.5- and 3.5-inch SCSI Flash Drives provide reliable flash data storage up to 2.4 GB, with future upgrades to larger capacities as flash densities increase. Both the 2.5- and 3.5-inch models provide standard mounting to exactly replace a hard disk drive in existing systems without the need for special adapters. As a SCSI peripheral, up to seven of these drives may be connected on one SCSI bus.
The drives integrate proven SCSI drive architecture with industry-standard CompactFlash Card technology. This combination emulates the operation of a SCSI hard disk drive or DAT tape drive and eliminates the problems found in traditional magnetic media storage devices such as rotating platters, moving heads and thin tape. Pricing starts at $2800 each/1000 for a 1.2-GB, 3.5-inch SCSI Flash Drive.
