The new ST7Lite0 series of low-cost, highly integrated, flash 8-bit microcontrollers is an extension of the company's ST7 family of standard microcontrollers. Starting at only $0.99 in quantities of 10,000 units, the new series packs 1.5 KB of flash, a 1% RC oscillator, fully integrated trimmable reset circuitry with low voltage detector and a power on/off reset, EEPROM guaranteed up to 300K write/erase cycles, and zoomable A/D converter. In addition, the 16-pin device can operate continuously from 2.4V to 5.5V and complies with automotive quality standards. The ST7Lite0 is available with a range of development tools, including a $149 in-circuit debugger with C compiler and integrated development environment. STMICROELECTRONICS INC., Lexington, MA.
