Reported as an industry first, the C8051F064 family of mixed-signal microcontrollers integrate a 25 MIPS, 8051 MCU with a dual 16-bit, 1 Msample/s a/d converter. The family includes the C8051F065, C8051F066, and C8051F067 devices that offer a choice

Reported as an industry first, the C8051F064 family of mixed-signal microcontrollers integrate a 25 MIPS, 8051 MCU with a dual 16-bit, 1 Msample/s a/d converter. The family includes the C8051F065, C8051F066, and C8051F067 devices that offer a choice of 32 kB or 64 kB of flash memory in a 64- or 100-pin package. Their dual a/d converters are accurate to ±0.75 least significant bit (LSB) integral non-linearity (INL), exhibit a SINAD of 89 dB, and consume 20 mW per converter. On-chip peripherals include two UARTs, SMBus, and SPI ports. Other features include a 2% accurate internal oscillator that eliminates the need for an external crystal or resonator. An evaluation kit and full development kit are also available. Prices for the C8051F064 start at $9.98 each/5,000. The evaluation and development kits are priced at $24.95 and $299 each, respectively. SILICON LABORATORIES INC., Austin, TX. (512) 416-8500.
