Eight-Bit MCUs Integrate LCD Drivers

The PIC18F K90 microcontroller (MCU) family embarks as the industry’s first low-power, 5V eight-bit MCUs that include an on-chip LCD driver module and a 12-bit ADC.

The PIC18F K90 microcontroller (MCU) family embarks as the industry’s first low-power, 5V eight-bit MCUs that include an on-chip LCD driver module and a 12-bit ADC.  Employing nanoWatt XLP technology, the devices specify sleep currents down to 20 nA.  Memory options range from 32 KB to 128 KB of flash memory, up to 4 KB of RAM, and 1 KB of on-chip EEPROM. The MCUs also pack 24 channels of mTouch capacitive touch sensing, enabling higher system integration. The PIC18F “K90” MCUs are available in 64- and 80-pin TQFP and 64-pin QFN packages with prices starting at $2.42 each/10,000.  MICROCHIP TECHNOLOGY INC., Chandler, AZ. (888) 628-6247.
