Offered as the second member of the eZ80 microprocessor family, the Webserver-i eZ80L92 promises easy, cost-effective direct connections to networks and the Internet with embedded TCP/IP and IrDA software. Users can design applications that may be remotely managed using an Internet browser on a hand-held device, cell phone, or a computer. The processor includes 16 MB of memory, operates at 50 MHz, and is Z80 and Z180 compatible. A full Internet protocol stack and an Ethernet reference design are also included. Other features of the device are sleep/halt modes and peripheral power down controls, general-purpose port pins, serial ports, SPI, and an I2C port. The device also performs 24-bit arithmetic and employs eight-bit instructions and 16-bit registers. The Embedded Webserver software suite includes all required sub-protocols and options and allows users to remotely manage, control, diagnose, and reconfigure products from any point of Internet access.
