Now available, the Am2045B tera-ops-class processor offers higher performance and lower power than its predecessor, the Am2045A. The processor embarks as the latest member of the Am2000 family of scalable, massively parallel processor arrays (MPPAs). All processors in the family employ the company's structured object programming model (SOPM) tools to make massively parallel software development practical for complex embedded systems. The Am2045B's on-chip interconnect bandwidth is improved by more than 40% and channel connectivity available for chip-to-chip communication offers an 8x improvement. The device runs at speeds up to 350 MHz and delivers 1.20 TeraOPS of processing power. Additionally, it exhibits a power consumption reduction of 40%, dissipating between 6W and 12W depending on the processing needs of the application. Pricing for the Am2045B is $325 each/1,000.
