Pentium processor applications can reach peak performance with the aid of four new thermal management ICs-- the ADM1023, ADM1029, ADM1030 and ADM1031-- which provide a complete range of solutions for desktop PCs, notebooks, servers, central office equipment and medical equipment. All are SMBus compatible and ACPI-compliant. The chips increase system performance by reducing the error budgeted due to remote thermal diode monitoring accuracy. The devices provide fault tolerance with the ability to operate in concert with the system BIOS and ACPI under normal conditions or can aide the system software in the event of system failure.
