The SH74552 and SH74562 32-bit MCUs target advanced driver assistance system applications found in automobile active-safety systems for obstacle detection and risk avoidance. Both devices feature a 13 mm x 13 mm package, 160-MHz operation, 1 MB of flash memory, and on-chip functions such as four-channel CAN. Additionally, the SH74552 includes a two-channel FlexRay controller. Other shared features include a floating-point processing unit achieving a maximum performance of 1.12 GFLOPS, an operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C, two clock synchronous parallel interface direct RAM inputs, a single-channel I2C function, and a parallel DAC controller circuit.
