The SCSI Trade Association (STA) and the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) of Europe have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) technology and marketing information resources in European, Middle East, and African markets. Also, SNIA Europe will receive and implement STA’s future marketing plans and roadmaps. According to SNIA Europe Marketing Chair Kay Mushens, SAS is one of the most widely adopted disk interfaces today because of its unique combination of performance, scalability, and interoperability with SATA. A strong link with the STA will give SNIA even better access to the latest materials on SAS.
